Phil’s Story
Phil’s journey into software sales began when he decided to transition away from a successful role as a Marketing Director in the service industry. He set off to gain the knowledge needed to become an entry-level IT professional—redefining his career path from the ground up. With determination and a passion for technology, Phil steadily advanced through the ranks of Information Technology.
His roles have included Software Support Specialist, Application Analyst, Technical Client Advocate, and Technical Consultant. These positions honed his technical expertise and deepened his understanding of customer needs, ultimately paving the way for his transition into software sales as a Sales Engineer.
As a Sales Engineer, Phil combined his technical acumen, problem-solving mindset, and strong communication skills to support and close over 80 deals, contributing to more than $2 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR).
He played a pivotal role in developing the K–12 education vertical, while also supporting sales efforts across Higher Education and State and Local Government sectors. Phil was instrumental in securing multiple “first-in-state” deals with school districts, helping to build momentum and expand the customer base across neighboring districts.
Outside of work, Phil is an avid traveler and outdoorsman. He enjoys fishing, biking, camping, and hiking with his dogs and girlfriend. In his downtime, he also finds joy in golfing, baking artisan bread, and kickboxing.
